Let's appreciate the Internet Archive. They're willing to host pretty much anything for free and generally only remove items if they receive a DMCA notice. • CD-ROM collection. Lots of old shareware / shovelware: https://archive.org/details/cd-roms • Software Library. A lot of these can be played right in the browser: https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary • DOS games specifically: https://archive.org/details/softwarelibrary_msdos_games • Console games. Again, almost all of these run in the browser: https://archive.org/details/consolelivingroom • The Prelinger Archives. Old ephemeral, educational, industrial films: https://archive.org/details/prelinger?tab=collection • Transfers of random old VHS tapes: https://archive.org/details/vhsvault • The Computer Chronicles. A tech show that ran through the 80s and 90s: https://archive.org/details/computerchronicles?tab=collection • Attention K-Mart Shoppers: A collection of K-Mart instore music/announcement tapes from the late 80s-early 90s supplemented by older muzak records and training films: https://archive.org/details/attentionkmartshoppers • Netlabel collection: https://archive.org/details/netlabels • Live Music Archive. Mostly jambands, but there's regular rock like Mission of Burma and Smashing Pumpkins and also even Autechre: https://archive.org/details/etree • Over 300,000 78 and cylinder recordings: https://archive.org/details/78rpm • Magazine scans: https://archive.org/details/magazine_rack Top-Level Divisions: • Books and Texts: https://archive.org/details/texts • Video: https://archive.org/details/movies • Audio: https://archive.org/details/audio • Software: https://archive.org/details/software Dive in and bring something back

>>fb-GT4KLZ21 (OP) Protips: • Search for game system + roms will bring up complete rom collections. These tend to be removed, but people keep uploading them. Example: https://archive.org/search.php?query=snes+roms • On item pages on the bottom of the "DOWNLOAD OPTIONS" box, there's a link called "SHOW ALL" which will show directory listing all of the files. For compressed archives and even ISOs, it'll have a link called "(View Contents)" which will give a directory listing for those and allow you to download individual files without having to download the entire collection. This is useful for grabbing singles games from on of the above rom collections. Example: https://archive.org/download/dm12_20190927 https://ia803105.us.archive.org/view_archive.php?archive=/7/items/dm12_20190927/DM12.ISO

wrong, they censor their wayback machine. Try getting an archive of socialmatter.net or some other sites like it and they'll say it's been excluded.

>>fb-GT4KLZ21 They do, just not intentionally. (Don't) look up the archive for 34chan.net in 2007 and go to the random board. I've reported it to cybertip over a week ago. Shit is still there. To add insult to injury the archive has been there since '07 meaning the internet archive as been serving that cp for 15 years!

>>fb-YJEKZYGZ Ironically no. But I’m serious about the DON’T part. I’ve reported it so the feds should be aware of it now. I’d like for it to actually be removed but I can’t find any report abuse page on the web archive to tell them.

>>fb-GT4KLZ21 (OP) What's also interesting is that it can make JSTOR and other publishers pee their pants (i.e., because of the huge number of "pirated" PDFs). You can contribute to the Archive by posting that shit too.

https://archive.org/details/stgigaarchive 82 hour-long recordings of 90s St.GIGA Tide of Sound broadcasts. St.GIGA was one of the first satellite radio broadcasters, initially it didn't follow a set schedule, but the music followed the tide chart with the music rising and falling in intensity throughout the day. Music is a mix of ambient, new age, fusion, deep house, etc. mixed with nature recordings and occasional poetry readings.
