It's better to think about what you can do now to improve the lives of those around you rather than lamenting the fact that you lost. I also don't like that trump won the election but I'm focused on continuing my life to the best of my ability.

I could have voted for Kamala instead of abstaining, but she and the Democrats are terrible for a variety of reasons as well. I really didn't expect Trump to win, though, and I have a strong feeling that Kamala really is "the lesser evil." You sound entirely too much like someone I know IRL. Anyway, I don't see it as a personal loss. I see it as humanity losing. I can't help but pay attention to what's happening in the world at large. Sure, you can argue that any particular individual might be unaffected, but you could be wrong about that. Trump and company potentially gutting the EPA, increasing fossil fuel use, diminishing the FDA, etc. very well could affect me and many others personally environmentally and healthwise for years to come. And that's just for starters.
