>>fb-WLWY117S → Raids that get on the news. That’s how it is done. That’s how something awful and 4chan did it. That’s how you get more users. Sum trolling that creates massive lulz.

>>fb-WLWY117S → Shilling to boards enough to garner an audience, is the only way. There's always strays, though, might attract the attention of the botspammers, too

>>fb-3XHC4B31 >>fb-WLWY117S → more activity sounds nice, but getting these retards from the 4gag and plebit will probably not get us very far and this website will turn into a dumpsterfire just like their homebases. i think maybe we should get based people in here not those fucking bots that will spam everything with their jewish agenda, like those taylor swift threads that have been showing up for a while now>>UUDZC5TV >taylor swifters

>>fb-A3R0QLOY → Pretty much the same happened to other places that were connected to 4chan. Sooner or later the faggots from there will come and overrun the place.

>>fb-A3R0QLOY → >>fb-MLSCVWX8 the beauty of decentralization is that, if enough care is put into the upkeep, federation can allow a collective effort of spam filtering. Though, how it'd be applicable to fchannel, that's a mistery still, unless the report button was something more than a dud.

>>fb-EBH0HY9C should moderation on fchannel be decentralized in the sense that if one instance deletes a post its deleted on all other instances even if i t doesnt originate from that instance? could that not lead to abuse? maybe have it removed from the feeds but in a buffer for the originating instance to verify if they want to delete it or not. and if an instance is abusing this trust their authority to delete posts not on their instance is revoked? how would reporting help in a decentralized network?

>>fb-LF2ZNIMC Some Web of thrust might be the solution. However, apart from Freenet, Web of thrust never took off. It's almost like the centralized, bad solutions are the most popular.

Also, in addition, or instead of Web of trust, adaptive proof of work. Only way in my opinion to really slow down the bots. https://www.mtcaptcha.com/adaptive-proof-of-work

>>LF2ZNIMC I would say a good solution would be to have the node publish a list of deletions and what website they deleted it from and then the other nodes could decide to accept those deletions either automatically or as reports. Or it could ignore the list while still pulling posts from the website.
