I have created two fchan instances that use Tor for access and federation http://cunnyem6udnpdthufbf6cl3jgiesispywidvhceeooga2nahhsb5cdyd.onion http://funion4ylmhcmta2woue7xapvquqt2rnpiccofeturwzd2b6b75si2id.onion
>>fg-MORL0KUT (OP) They are both using fedproxy, so they should be able to federate with both i2p and lokinet when I set them up Not exactly sure how well go's net package handles socks proxys so it might end up leaking the server IP addresses
>>fg-MORL0KUT (OP) Cunny instance seems to be down, and the funion is not federating with the /g/ board? Good on ya though, it's a start.
>>fb-R6Q1LXST → cunnychan keeps getting into a state where it redirects to HTTPS and I have no idea why
>>fb-O8Z4TWUJ → It's http:// After restarting tor it works again for a while but eventually it starts redirecting to https again until I restart tor It's really weird because it only happens on cunny
>>fg-MORL0KUT (OP) >>fb-R6Q1LXST → I have moved the chans to lokinet for now as it is easier to deal with and should also be easier for clearnet fchans to federate with. On Debian 10 it just worked but Ubuntu 20.04 I had to manually add lokinet as one of the nameservers. I've been testing it for a while now and there haven't been any problems, but I expect something will be broken when I check later on. Cunnychan: http://yj61a9t1c4pp8cj8ao9gogeannjf7t5t37zk5cxs66cc96jgodpo.loki Alterchan: http://nz86ga6kschq1aq83xhw9dwxszqrctr9prao7t7etgee5xr34edo.loki
>>fg-C3VTFSH8 based loki bro
>>fg-KIGZRKP7 I want to like Lokinet, but name resolution is flaky. Why does it fail, fail, fail, and then work all of a sudden only to fail again a few minutes later.
>>fg-46XX4CQK Yeah it's a shame. It was working good at first but now both instances seem to never be able to reach each other. I think I'll just put them back on tor for now then wait and see if it works better after the oxen hard fork.
>>fg-XW6GPECH its nice to see youre still having your servers up. i have been saying it for a while, but i want to be able to fedi with your instances. so if you can keep them online at least for the next month so, i can test federating with them with the coming updates. in the test code branch i was able to make a get request from clearnet to your instance, but there are some wrappers for the http.requests i have to make and fully test before pushing it to the master branch. i dont have any tor instances to test from so your instances are a valuable addition.
>>fg-MORL0KUT (OP) Should this be of any concern?
>>fg-MORL0KUT (OP) TOR is compromised
>>fg-82FF50DZ everything is compromised
>>fg-82FF50DZ your mom's pussy is compromised
>>fg-C3VTFSH8 I love Lokinet. I found it a lot easier to setup versus Tor.
>>fg-C3VTFSH8 Cunnychan (won't load) Alterchan (working)
>>fg-Z2XP3MA5 Nevermind. Lokinet name resolution is so flaky.
i have pushed some commits for proxy routing with tor. initially testing seems to work. i had to increase verification time since there is latency using tor. if the admin of the onion instances updates to the latest version of the code with the increase verification time federation between clearnet and tor should be possible. i was able to make follow requests and get post from tor to clearnet and was able to post from tor to clearnet so far.
>>fg-C3VTFSH8 Cunnychan is working for me (now named FlokiChan). Alterchan is dead.
Do you guys think Taylor Swift is hot?
>>fg-4M9HGT8B If you're using tails or whonix definately not. TLS over for is redundent
What is the point of this
>>fg-VRCE0FLX point of what? federated image board? whats the point of centralized image boards?
>>fg-VRCE0FLX >point Being able to post anonymously while the content is still available on the clearnet.
